How to Assess Your Posture:

Forward Head Posture Self-Test

 To assess your posture, just follow the steps below:

• First, check the muscles in your neck to see if they’re tight (the upper

trapezius and the sternocleidomastoid) using self-massage.

• Second, check to see if you have a fatty or bony bump on your upper back

just at the base of your neck.

• Lastly, look at yourself from the side. This may require someone taking a

photo of your profile while seated or standing to see how the 3 points from

your ear, shoulder and hips line up. The goal is that these 3 points form a

nice vertical line.
